Toolkit 2D - Torso Anatomy

 Toolkit 2D - Torso Anatomy

Torso anatomy has been something I have consistently struggled with for the longest time. This week, I spent my time practicing torso anatomy, and how the muscles flex in different poses. Firstly, I got used to drawing torsos on their own again. Normally, I construct the body to draw the torso, but I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone a little bit to recap on this skill.
I then focused on the parts I am not particularly confident about - I practiced drawing the oblique and serratus muscles in the correct position, which after a little trial and error I feel better out now. I also practiced laying out the back too, since that is something I struggle with too - I think this exercise will massively help going into life drawing. I also will definitely come back to and practice the separate muscle groups of the body again.
